Ameneded Several Sections Outlined Below

Due to our growing and expanding Guild, a Rank & Command Structure overhaul was needed to provide the leadership necessary to ensure our Members are cared for properly.

Quote:
Section H: Officers
All Officers are required to abide by, enforce, and uphold all Code of Conduct rules outlined in this Article. Officer's shall also heed to the Leader's Code of Honour which requires that an Officer:

(1) Lead by Example
(2) Be Honest in Everything

(4) Help the Helpless
(5) Maintain a Good Christian Testimony
(6) Treat Others With Kindness & Respect
(7) Judge all matters with Justice & Mercy.

Quote:
Section B: Ranking Structure
The Guild will be highly organized into a paramilitary ranking structure. The basics of the structure will be one Overseer who presides as the Master of the Council, one Chief Executive Officer who presides as Chief Councilor, seven Executive Officers each with their perspective duties who preside as Councilors, three Senior Officers who preside as Councilors, two additional Senior Officers, a limited number of Junior Officers, a limited number of Warrant Officers, unlimited Saints, and unlimited Initiates. This structure is subject to change upon approval of the Council as the guild grows and expands. A Guild title to show one's responsibility and Guild insignia that displays rank will be displayed on each member's website account.

Quote:
Section D: Officer & Councilor Promotions
(1) Executive Officer promotions will be based primarily upon their testimony, their attitude and treatment towards others, their willingness to serve others, and their ability to fulfill their respected duties as an Executive Officer as defined in Section L.3. The Master of the Council & the Chief Councilor shall set a time to meet & agree upon 2 candidates for each Executive Officer position available unbeknownst to the candidate. Once these 2 candidates are chosen, they will be introduced to the Council for discussion & vote. If the Council agrees (see Section F), the candidate will then be summoned to the Council where they will be offered the position and read the responsibilities of the position. If they do not accept the position, the process will begin again until a qualified candidate is chosen. If they do accept the position, they will be promoted via a promotion ceremony similar to that of Members.

(2) Council Members will be elected to the Council based upon their testimonies, treatment of others, and activity in the Guild. Any Councilor may nominate any Guild Member for the position of Council Member without the Member's knowledge. The Council will then discuss & vote on the Member. If the Council agrees, the Member will be summoned to the Council and offered the position of Councilor. If they accept, they will be granted the seat via a ceremony. If they deny, the process will begin again.

(3) Junior & Senior Officers will be nominated based upon their testimonies, attitude, character, activity, and ability to do their required duty. An Executive Officer may nominate any Saint for promotion to a Junior or Senior Officer position under their branch of authority (See Ranks). The Council will then discuss & vote on the Junior Officer Candidate. If approved by the Council, the Nominee will be summoned to the Council and offered the position. If they accept, they will be promoted via a ceremony. If they deny, the process will begin again.

(4) Warrant Officers will be nominated based upon their testimonies, attitude, activity, and ability to do their required duty. An Executive, Senior, or Junior Officer may nominate any Saint for promotion to a Warrant Officer position under their branch of authority (See Ranks). The Council will then discuss & vote on the Warrant Officer Candidate. If approved by the Council, the Nominee will be summoned to the Council and offered the position. If they accept, they will be promoted via a ceremony. If they deny, the process will begin again.

Posting of clean & modest pictures or the use of said pictures as avatars or signatures are permitted in the forums, however, any and all lewd or pornographic material, including links to such material, is strictly prohibited and is cause for the immediate guild dismissal of said member. Amended Article VII Section C: Member Promotions
By Council Decision 7-0

All Initiates will go through a minimum 14 day trial period before they are eligible for promotion to Saint. This is to prevent loot theft from the guild base and to allow the recruit to make sure this guild is right for them as well as allowing the officers to watch the recruit for signs of bad behavior.

Once per week, the Prime Minister shall review all guild Initiates who have met the minimum promotion requirements. Upon satisfactory review, the Prime Minister shall nominate said Initiates for promotion on the guild Council Floor. The Council will then vote to decide whether to promote said Initiate to Saint based upon various factors including activity and Christian testimony. If the Council denies said Initiate's promotion, his re-nomination will be postponed until said Initiate has met the above requirements.

Upon acceptance, the recruit will then be promoted via a weekly ingame promotion ceremony which may involve some roleplay within the Star Wars universe in which all guild members will be invited to attend to congratulate and welcome the new member or members into the Guild. An official announcement will be posted on the SOTOR forums weekly to notify the guild of any and all member promotions.

For Initiate re-promotion procedures dealing with demotions due to inactivity, please refer to Art. VII Sec. H.

re: Constitutional Amendments & Revision History

Quote:
12-18-10
Amended Section F: Council Meeting Session Procedures
By Council Decision 7-0

Section F: Council Meeting Session Procedures
(1) Realtime Council Meeting Sessions
Realtime Council meetings in which Council members meet in real time to discuss and vote on guild constitutional measures via one of more of the following methods: voice chat, text chat, and/or in-game chat, may only be called to order or scheduled by either the Overseer or Chief Executive Officer. Such meetings will always be pre-scheduled at a time that is convenient for as many Councilors as possible. All members of the Council will be required to attend council meetings unless they are unable to for a good reason. No Council meeting shall be in valid session without both the Master of the Council and the Chief Councilor present along with a minimum of 5 other Councilors for a total of 7. In the event that the Council has less than 7 total members, all Councilors must be present for the meeting to be in valid session. Once in session, each Councilor will be asked in turn by the Master of the Council to speak before the Guild Council to suggest at most two measures (if any) that they wish to put on the floor for vote. If they do not have a measure they wish to discuss, Council will move to the next Councilor. If they do have a measure to discuss, the measure will then be discussed by all Councilors citing reasoning of both the measure's pros and cons. Once discussed, the measure may then be called to the floor for vote by either the Master of the Council or the Chief Councilor. If neither calls the measure to vote, it is then dismissed. If put to vote, the measure will require a minimum of 7 votes to pass. If the Council consists of less than 7 members, a unanimous Council decision is required for anything on the floor to pass. The Master of the Council reserves full authority to dismiss or veto any and all measures or Council decisions if said measure or decision is in any way contrary to the Guild Constitution. Said meetings may be conducted in a Star Wars roleplaying theme but roleplay participation is at the sole discretion of each Councilor.

(2) Forum Council Sessions
A private forum on the guild website shall be reserved for Councilors to hold non-realtime Council Sessions. Council policies outlining non-realtime Council session procedures shall be determined and posted by the Master of the Council and kept updated (with notice) in said forum. Council Policies & Procedures shall not contradict or infringe upon the Constitution in any way. A minimum of 7 votes are required to pass a proposed measure put on the floor. In the event that the Council has less than 7 total members, a unanimous Council decision is required for anything on the floor to pass. Other Guild Measures which are not defined in or by the Constitution (i.e. Awards) may be passed after proposal by a 2nd motion and a minimum 24 hour window for Councilor objection on the measure. If there are no objections, the measure will pass. In the event of any objection by any Councilor, the proposing Councilor may call for said measure to be placed on the floor for a full vote.

(3) Councilors on Leave of Absence Session Policy
In the event that the Council meets in valid session, as defined in either subsection (1) or (2) above, and one or more Council members are on Leave of Absence as defined in Art. VII Sec. H during said session, the total number of Councilors in subsection (1) and (2) is defined as the total number of Councilors not on Leave of Absence.
