re: Vadis Coruscatus

Full Name: Vadis Pugnax Coruscatus (VAH-dis Poog-nox core-ess-SAH-toos)

Species: Human
Gender: Male
Class: Jedi Knight (Guardian)

Age: Appears 35
Height: 1.8m
Weight: 85Kg
Build: Athletic
Skin: Very fair
Hair: Dark brown, medium length
Eyes: Pale blue, like blue ice
Beard: Clean shaven or sometimes a goatee; scruffy beard if in the Holocron chamber all weekend
Scars: None visible on face. Trys very hard to conceal the massive scarring on his torso that appears to be from numerous light saber impalements
Tattoos: None visible

Birthplace: Tython
Training: Jedi Temple, Coruscant
Parents: No data
Spoken Languages: Basic
Written Languages: High Galactic Alphabet
Profession: Craftsman, Historian, Negotiator

Three things Vadis will not discuss:
-His family
-His Jedi Trials
-His past captivity and torture at the hands of the Sith

Early Life Story: Unknown. No one from his childhood has emerged and Vadis does not speak of it.

Skill Sets:

- The Force: Highly advanced Lightsaber combat, all forms (Speciality: Juyo and Juyo variants).
Was originally considered for position of Guild Lightsaber Combat Instructor, but Jao and the rest of the Council decided it best to fill the position with someone who "wasn't quite so enthusiastic about combat."

Powers:
Frequently uses Telekinesis, Force Push, Force Stasis, Force Wound in combat

Crafting:
When not studying holocrons, he spends hours mastering lightsaber crystal shaping and if need be, splicing.

Personality Traits:
Driven to study constantly as if searching for some bit of knowledge that will save his life, thus spending most of the time in solitude. Seems to show the most outward personality and dry humor when relating an old battle story or when in combat; has a tendancy to talk to his opponents with intent on frustrating them into a mistake. Overall there is an underlying quietness about Vadis.

Padiwans:
Vadis has yet to have a Padiwan successfully achieve the rank of Jedi. Each one has either been killed in combat or turned to the Dark Side (or turned and then killed).

Favorite Sayings:
-Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement.
-The more time we spend in study and meditaion, the less indecisvie we become; the choice is already made.
-It is not our Force abilities that define us, but rather how we choose to use them.
-Lightsaber combat is our last resort, but by no means is this a reason to neglect it's training.

Favorite Food: Mandalorian Mac & Cheese
Hobbies: Reading, crafting, lightsaber training
Alignment: Neutral Good with chaotic tendancies

On Power: Our greatest weapon is knowledge.

On Love: Vadis is largely silent on this issue. In fact he will change the subject from love to just about anything else.

Happiness: Rare for Vadis. Finds a bit of it in learning something new or passing on to others what he has learned. Finds satisfaction in serving justice.

Anger: Is very quick to anger where Sith are involved.

Hate: Strong anti-Sith Empire sentiment and makes no effort to conceal it. Takes every opportunity to confront them, too.

Fears:
1) That Jedi knowledge will be lost on those that do not study it
2) That what he will never find what he is searching for in the holocrons

Cardinal Virtues: Loyalty, Justice

Flaws: Driven to seek out revenge against all things Sith, and therefore has no mercy in combat against them; Similary issues with anger/temper management where Disloyalty and Injustice are involved. All the Holocron study has been criticized as a quest for power.

re: Vadis Coruscatus

Oh! Who is this mysterious masked man?

Cool bio! I particularly thought it was groovy that all his padawans had died or turned to the Dark Side. That's gotta mess with your head. And, hey, characters with "issues" are usually the best! Gratz! Looking forward to seeing your RP posts!

Excellent! I have been waiting impatiently for this and I'm glad you made us wait, because you have turned out something amazing that clearly has a lot of thought behind it. He's a very detailed character with great history and best of all: potential. I think with an rp character, the potential to bring up (or sometimes desperately cover over) old conflicts is so important and such a neat element to include when interacting with other players. I love that you've included his flaws and things that will obviously cause contention in the future: yay for conflict! He's going to be a blast to rp with.

You sure you've never done this before??
