A Personal Thank You

When I was in Rehab, the doctors and nurses were amazed on how quickly I was recovering. Within the first few days, I had qualified for MI Status, which means Moderately Independent. Personally, I wasn't surprised in the least, because I was BENT on not having CNAs nor nurses helping me to the loo or assisting in the shower. While most amputees need 3-4 weeks in Rehab, God worked a miracle and allowed me to clear in only 2 weeks. By the time I was ready to leave, there was only one obstacle left in my escape: I needed a wheelchair.

If you have been in the market for a wheelchair, you know that they can get quite expensive. Normal (good) wheelchairs can cost between $900-1900.00. Sure, you can buy some for $150-200.00, but they don't last very long, breaking easily. In the end, I prayed about the matter, and asked the Lord to guide me and provide. A friend helped me find what I needed, but the cost was $700.00: which is way more than I had. I purchased the wheelchair (and stump rest... ok, ok.... "residual limb rest") and trusted God to provide. I didn't know where the money would come from, but my God is AWESOME, and He has never let me down.

Today, I received a check in the mail from Saints3G. Jao mentioned that many of you were led of the Lord to donate funds to my needs, and he sent me what was collected. When I opened the envelope and saw the check, I praised God how He provided, as He had promised in Philippians 4:19. The amount of the check almost completely covers the cost of my wheelchair.

I am writing this for two reasons. First, I want to publicly proclaim that our God is faithful! Philippians 4:6-7 tells us to,

Philippians 4:6-7
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

When we commit our ways unto the Lord, and trust Him, He shall bring all things to pass (Psalm 37:5). God has promised to provide for our needs.

Philippians 4:19
19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

The second reason why I am writing is to personally thank each and everyone of you for being sensitive to the Lord's leading. Your contribution, no matter the size, has been used by God, and I am grateful to see that my friends, and family in the Lord help in a time of need.

I'm new to the guild so we haven't met, but I wanted to let you know that I've been praying for you and your family. I am so glad to hear that God has come through for you in your time of need. I have also been blessed in that He always provides. It is magnificent to see the miracle of God every day, and to know that He always walks with us.
