I was saved at age 9, with my dad at a park I did a prayer to accept Jesus into my heart. Jesus is my Savior who died for all sin, defeated death and sin and rose again on the 3rd day. He now prepares a place in Heaven for me. The Holy Spirit is the 3rd person in the trinity, and He is the one who endwells in me. He is the comforter and spirit of God. Prayer is a way to communicate to God, it is all about a relationship.
I did not get baptised until i was 17, do to the fact that it was not for Salvation, so I saw no need to do it. God showed me that it was all about obedience to Him and showing others that you have committed yourself to God.
I feel there is a missing part in living for God that many Christians ignore. The idea of submitting to God requires us to surrender EVERYTHING, all parts of our life to Him. I read a book called "When God Writes your Love Story" by Eric and Leslie Ludy.It taught me not only about dating, but preparing. In fact they taught that our first love is God, and we must first surrender our all, everypart of our lives to Him before he could even mold us into the man or woman he has for us. I also committed to God to choose my love. 4 years later, she came. We have been married for a little over a year now =)
Sometimes we wonder how things work in life... God has his plan we have our own. The question is, do you let Him design it? God took me through many adventures. Some had ruff edges others were, WOW's! Right now, i am in the adventure of waiting... looking for a job and hoping it will be soon. I graduated from Regent University with a Bachelors in Christian Ministry and Development. Currently, in Regis UNiversity to get my Masters in Nonprofit Management. Now I wait as he creates the next chapter...
